no, see, the turret hatch door is open, too- it's because BE heavies have a matter-displacement device that shifts the user into a parallel but very near dimension, where they don't interact with the tank cannon in this one. It's all very mathematical; you wouldn't understand.

A guy in front would be nice. Given Butters' mathemelogical equastional formulons, I predict a guy could safely sit or stand there and shoot at things until they are dead without getting a noggin full of double-barreled shotgun.

 

sitting in the front hatch should also give to the ability to climb into the gun barrel to hide from enemies and as an experimentational "teliport" device
