For my vote, I agree with dizzyone, something that burst fires. Also, that pic of the pistol firing... I don't think the magazine in it is large enough. Just a few more bullets.
I'd estimate an autopistol clip being anywhere from 15 to 25 bullets? And 25 being the "pulling it to the extreme"?
Yeah, it can't be too good, or you start getting into the NF SMG2 range, which looks like a machine pistol
Maybe something with a not-too-large clip, but quite alot of firepower behind it instead. Maybe not as much as the BE pistol 2, but able to accumulate nearly as much damage in the same time (but with a higher chance on hitting generally, because you'll be using more bullets)
The main differences between the BE 1 and 2 pistol apart from the higher damage and differences in ammo is: BE pistol 2 doesn't fire as fast as pistol 1.

no, a semi needs time between shots. a paintball gun can only fire as fast as you can pull the trigger (unless you cheat).
I think that's what a semi-automatic is. As in, you don't need to reload between shots. A full automatic fires for as long as you hold the trigger down. Am I right, all you gun buffs?
Come on KillX, even I knew that one. Should a weapon like the HMG gain an overheating function too? Just a random wonder.
That was talked about at one point, but I believe it was dismissed in favour of some kind of deployment requirement (such as being in prone). Anyway, back on topic...
