So my girlfriend wants to go to San Francisco for Spring Break. I had want to go to Los Angles to visit family, or Mexico, but I am not going to argue since she is going to pay for most of the trip. So what is there to do in San Francisco? And what places should I avoid?

it's sort of touristy, but chinatown is worth a visit. found a really cool tea shop last time. i seem to go everytime im there and always seem to enjoy it. also my gf and i did a hike on new years day that tooks us from the sutro baths, to the beach, passed the golden gate bridge and back into town. it was fucking awesome and beautiful. took about 4 hours, but it was a great afternoon for a picnic and pictures. also eat at the stinking rose. i know it's sort of a touristy too, but if you love garlic this place is pure glory. garlic infused martini, roasted garlic olive oil bowl served with warm bread, roasted garlic short rib entree. the fishermen's stew thing was kind of ok, service sucked, but it was so good. really awesome italian bakeries near there too, so save room for canoli's. post more if i think of it

btw, i stepped out of my sleeper car on the amtrak when we passed through richmond, almost to sf, just to spit on the ground in honour and disrespect of fn.

Stay away from castro street, hit up some bars on the mission at night. During the day goto pier 39 and maybe go visit alcatraz.. It's always fun to ride a cable car and see lombard street..

Maybe catch a Giants Baseball game? Or come across the bridge and meet me and FN for some bomb ass mexican food. There is an electric train system called BART that goes every where you will wanna be and it can bring you straight to FN's backyard.. Oh bring shorts cause the weathers perfect

Welcome to a Terrible State. It is just a dark void, filled with sorrow and empty dreams, in between California and Washington.
