I haven't heard a single mic in the PC version yet. Does the PS3 version have mics then?

If you want to change your graphics settings, you'd have to spawn and press escape to bring up the options menu. And you'd have to find a safe spot in the map where you stay alive when you're changing the settings. If you die, changes aren't saved. Fuu beta.

 

So I've been using Devourawr for ages, and some nutless monkey decides to steal it from me on Origin.

EDIT: Even -Devourawr- is taken. Ive never seen any site where it's been used, but it seesms like there's a horde of unimaginative retards just begging to get a name and decide to use mine.

PS3 version supports Team Mics and not just limited to squad mics from BC2. I thought I could get away from the 11-14 year old European kids that would stay on CoD but turns out I was wrong. It's worth leaving a game for a quieter one though, so I can stomp them trying to play BF, in a blissful choir of bullets from my gun

This game is too easy mode for an Experienced FPSer, even playing Solo. I won a match single handedly apart from planting 2 bombs, A in Base 1 and A in Base 3. Until you find Support campers with the M249 or the SVD killing with a magic bullet though. The map is too linear, where is Caspian Border? That would of been a better map. The BC2 MP Demo on PSN was Port Valdez, which is still quite linear but a bit more room to maneuver and it had vehicles

 

I also think that metro is a shitty map to present bf strong points. For me, BF was always about teamwork and cooperation with veh support. Map supports neither. Now its all about who has the gayest weapon/gadget combo. Quo vadis battlefield?

 

Find me a game, no matter how shitty, that has software to ban any kids using the mic, even people who just sound annoying, and I'll pay good money for that. Maybe Mootant can make it a priority for his possible Empires 3.

I will spend hundreds of pounds upgrading my PC, a couple more on a 3D monitor, several hours shouting at my PC whilst trying to install it, complete it, immediately go back to playing Empires and then come to this thread and complain dramatically about how I wish I hadn't bothered.

 

Some voice recognition for high pitched voices would be nice. Honestly though, where the fuck is mute?

This Beta is incredibly sloppy imo. Yeah, it's a beta, but you'd expect better. I would of hated to play Alpha. Map sinkholes at Base 1 littered literally everywhere, especially near A. You can't even prone by A to plant it. Prone under fire is more than likely to result in your death since hit detections and player deaths seem to lag significantly. All non-weapon sounds are incredibly out of sync. I saw an article on PCG about the beta being a month old build. Why? They wanted to test back-end stuff, yet the front of house is fucking awful. It's like a restaurant with the best chefs but shit service.

Also, AEK is now my favourite, high ROF and easier recoil control...

 

I'm disappointed with the amount of stuff in Beta. You say you would have hated to play the Alpha, but that's my problem. I did, and it was nigh on identical to the beta. I have no issues with bugs really, none that are huge, but there just isn't much to do on that one map. I want to play Operation Caspian. All the Alpha had was less weapons, but a pair of IFV vehicles on Operation Metro. All the Beta has is more weapons, but no vehicles.

Also yes, AEK971 is bestest.

 

Being shot through giant rocks is a huge bug.

Third AEK is best.
