Simple idea, but requires thinking about the balance of classes:

Why not let some classes trade their pistol for a bandolier of grenades (~ 2-4 extra grenades)?

Why not let the Grenadier do the same for it's mortar/Rpgs as an either-or choice? I.e. trade the RPG slot for a bandolier of mortar ammo.

Since when was your approval significant?

Ammo upgrade already doubles the ammo held for everything. 10 grenades (or 4 stickies) is plenty for anyone. Also, with the ease of ammo placement (whether they are placed often or not) makes this nearly pointless on most maps. Stick in groups, keep near an engy, you'll be fine.

A gren without his pistol isn't much of a gren anyway ;)

I wasn't thinking of making the gren give up his lifesaving sidearm, just the option to specialize as RPGer or Mortarman.

EDIT: I use the grenadier a lot BTW.

Really the idea is two issues: 1. give some of the plain infantry guys a little more nade power, and 2. let a Grenadier specialize their loadout to one weapon type.
