At the start of the round, there should be two votes. FIRST SCREEN-COMM VOTE. *Picks Stevee* SECOND SCREEN-SUB-COMM VOTE. *Picks Lolocaust ()* __________________________________________________________________________ *In the middle of the game* Stevee loses connections/loses power/has high ping/other meaningless thing Lolocaust's (!!!) screen gets a message saying *Being moved to commander in... 54321 etc* Then Lolo (!!!!)is automatically put into the comm seat. __________________________________________________________________________ Pro's -People won't go 3 minutes without a comm anymore -There is ALWAYS a back up option -I can go take a shit when I need to Con's -Might get pulled out of action, or of a ninja. Thus, I think a "CANCEL" button is needed. AS IN "You are being moved to the commander seat in 5 seconds. Press F12 to cancel" -Stevee might run out of toilet paper ._.
I can see exploit, when original com dies outside the vehicle, he leaves just so that the subcom and be magically teleported in to drive the com to safety. Then original com rejoins.
True.... So we make it a tad more complex by adding the same build-radius buildings have. For instance, you can't place an ML right beside an enemy vf. Using thta same distance, if an enemy is beside the comm, or somewhere really close, backup! won't activate.
There's already so much hassle in getting one guy that knows what the hell he's doing to command. And how often do comms get disconnected anyway? And any team that can get two capable guys voted into comm and vice-comm can probably also deal just fine with the original comm getting disconnected.
Lolocaust..Ethos..Pickled_Heretic...Tavorich...Cobalt...Myself...there's plenty of good comm's out there. This isn't "Necessary," but I've seen a couple games lost for the winning team because there was no research, f-rax, etc.
