-_-'' first post with words in several months, and it doesn't make sense. Welcome Back Mayama! Also, I went to Sherlock Holmes instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUQbmFAE5WI watch the last 5 seconds of this trailer. it's the best part ever.
What the fuck Mayama. It's Jessiah's/Pickled's job to stalk my posts and criticize them. You come back and that's the first thing you do? Und bin ich auch Deutsch lernen! Seriously. Also, you watched the movie? ^_^
lol That pretty much sums it up, avatar is essentially pocohontas with big robots and aliens. Still, not a bad movie.
Saw it on Imax 3D. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Definitely recommend seeing it in an Imax 3D theater. Had me on the edge of my seats at many parts and it really felt like you were in there the whole time. Next, the new Shrek in Imax 3D and Hubble :D
How many of you saw District 9? I thought they were quite similar movies, and personally thought District 9 was slightly better. Felt more sympathetic for the aliens. But still, I thought both were excellent movies, it's definitely worth seeing Avatar in 3D. much better then.
Eh, I thought D9 was missing something, though I can't put my finger on it. I wish I cudda seen more of dem alien weapons though. Shit looked baddddass. Anyone see the fourth terminator yet? I thought it was a HUGE improvement, considering how much T3 sucked :\
Yeah i enjoyed T4, way better than i expected. Avatar was alright but I don't get why it was so hyped, it had a lot of pretty CG animation but other than that...meh.
D9 was awful. The plot had more holes than material, and only about 4 characters. I think 25% of the movie was the main character fighting the bald guy. Plus that stupid cloverfield-esque camera made no sense and was just there to be annoying. Haven't any of you read Brave New World? Don't these movies just reek of The Feelies? Go watch real movies.
District 9....neat idea, VERY poorly executed. I want my 2+ hours back from that POS. About the best thing in the movie is the figh at the end, because it required little acting. Avatar is awesome though. The story is derivative, but the acting is good, and the CGI is...well, the best I've seen to date. I mean...Cameron needed two CG studios to do the work (ILM and WETA.) I think the movie is near breaking the 700 million mark (USD) if it hasn't already, so despite the blizzard on the east coast of the US, people still got out and saw it. I saw one of the opening night midnight showings, but I intend to see it again...and trust me, the 3D version is worth the extra few $ you will pay.
I dont really know if those extra bucks for 3d were really worth it, but the prestine quality of digital projection was definitly worth it. 3D was a nice gimmick at best.
