    Making it short.

How to stop team stacking through one way is making it so if the teams are NF 11 and BE 8 or whatever, the person who next dies on NF will be automatically switched to BE.

It sucks ass when you've been supporting a team for a majority of a game, when ragequits make a gap, forcing those players to switch. TF2 has much shorter rounds and powerful individual classes. Empires is much different.

Opps, your squadleader died. Now you're fucked without a strategy

When the teams go 12v6 or whatever, 90% of the time its because one team is about to loose. In some ways its a convenient 'feature' to speed up endgames.

But it's more fun when it takes longer.

it used to be a generally agreed upon form of etiquette in empires to end a game where you're obviously going to win as fast as possible.

    - dont 'take the cv hostage and kill all the noobs lul'
    - dont 'lets not kill the rax, just camp it with our 50 cal apcs lul'
    - dont 'wait til we gets nukes then rush their last base lul'

seriously, this used to be as common an attitude as not griefing the cv. just wanted to put that out there for new players.

Yeah, I hate it when players try to keep a cv hostage and prolong the game. Just be the better man and kill it while your entire team rages at you

How about make it the last person who joined the team gets moved over instead? Makes more sense right?

Long balanced games are fun, or games with a chance of coming back. Sitting there repairing your last barracks or launching HE's into a turtled team's wall spam gets old after it happens every single game.

Anyway, it really sucks to fight with a team for a while and then get auto reassigned just because someone left the other team. With this plugun I think I would turn around and head back to base when the teams were unbalanced just to avoid being switched.

Also, it means one team just got someone who knows the other team's research and defenses... not that it really means much in pub games, but its lame and could foil perfectly good DU rushes or whatever.

one better: Opps, your commander died and got switched to the other team and someone jumps in the boomtank. Now you're just fucked.

Yes, its a rare occurance, but occasionally the commander will get killed. Haveing a squad leader get killed then switched is bad. There are far too many ways this can go wrong. The best, and probably only way to combat a stack is at the start of the map and assign people based on relative skill. If they pick a side, they only join once the teams are balanced skill wise, if they hit auto, they go on the team that is lacking skill.

I'm strongly opposed to forced teamswitching midgame (except in extraordinary circumstances). Most of the time when I do this manually, the person gets angry and joins spec. Being changed from the winning to the losing side (usually the case if one side is stacked) midgame just causes people to rage without fixing the stack.

A better solution is an autobalancer that incorporates stats into determining which side you can join.
