Armour bar for riflemen

    I often find it annoying when im a rifemen with armor and expect to last longer and take more hits but i die just as fast. Could there be an armour bar above the health bar like there is on tanks. This would also alow way for editing armour for inf which would be legend :D

    Pros:
    Would truely make the riflemen a frontliner
    Would not take much codeing


    Cons:
    could clog up the hub

    i actually thought of that once, i think it would be a great idea, i think your talking about instead of the tank hull armour health, have a body with green lines round it etc?

    Yeah, the armor is currently damn useless. The only difference it makes is that you actually can survive one mine and maybe even a headshot by a sniper. But that's pretty useless.

    Armor doesn't protect you from Headshots. Headshots just double the damage.
    Sniper rifle do 60 damage you start with 100 health, so 2 body shots or 1 headshot kills you.
    When you take as perk "Health Upgrade" your max health goes to 130 that way you can survive a headshot since it do 120 damage.

    Armour does help. You take 15% less damage from EVERYTHING IIRC. Maybe its 10%...

    still, hillbilly wants a armour bar, not more armour.

    It's 10 percent I think, and I don't know whether an armour bar is neccesary.

    I mean it's essentially more health, so why not add it onto the health meter?

    I would armour reduces a % of damage you take on cirtain hit boxes, rather then just another health bar. If that was the case, then a bar wouldn't be required, and your armour wouldn't wear out.

    an armour bar would be good though and you could have it counter strike style where the armour only protects u with the hitbox of the chest. :D

    10% = 3 less damage from a rifle... that's still about 34. Yep, it helps a lot... NOT.

    Guy... 3x 34 is still 102. If you dont have the health-upgrade, you still die in 3 shots.

    It's not supposed to help a lot, it helps a little. A 10% boost is better than no boost, amirite?

    I would rather have a tool or something useful than a 10% boost tbh

    so if it is just a damage modifier, there is no need for a bar, as there is information to display, topic over.

    I still think they need to make it a bit higher though 15% at the least ^^

    Right now the Rifleman is quite a killing machine.
    It protection don't lies in his armor but the extreme firepower of his weapon.
    If at all the Rifleman needs a tone down instead.
    Maybe the one or other encountered me playing Empires, ask yourself if you really want the Rifleman become even stronger.
    It will just spoil the game for everyone else not playing a Rifleman.
