Just wondering if anyone noticed if firing your shotty pistol while Prone/Crouch The Shotty Spray will be much smaller than when you stand and shoot (Long RANGE SHOTTAYE PISTOL ^^ )

When you jump around a corner shotty pistol, It can't hit a person 2M away :(

Yeah, hes pointing out it doesn't really make sense. The spread on a shotgun type weapon is going to change if your crouched/prone/notmoving.

The spread on an SMG gun type weapon isn't going to either, they always shoot where the barrel is pointing, so if you're moving around the barrel is moving, so you are less accurate.

Its the only gun in empires that uses buckshoot ammunition!
Its very strange that the cone gets smaller if you use accuracy
    update or crouch...

Wow, fail. He is saying the spread changes. What would happen when you are moving is the center of the spread would change not the spread itself. If your going to flame at least be right.

So? It doesn't matter what you're shooting, the steadier your hand the more accurate it will be, you can't do buckshot inaccuracy correctly in a game, in real life it just spreads out to the left, in a game you have to settle for lack of realism.

    Which is my point, Simon.

Buckshoot should not care about accuracy at all.
Just make the bullets randomly spread in the cone.

It would be far more accurate to give it a standard average spread then have the spread change. It is a small pistol not particularly hard to keep generally on target while moving.

So you're saying, that if I'm sprinting, I can hold a pistol as steady as I can while crouching? And my point is that the aimcone stays the same, yes. But the angle of the aimcone doesn't, that's real life, this is a game, coding something so trivial is just stupid when you can have a simple growing/shrinking aimcone. DO YOU READ THE POSTS OF WHICH YOU REPLY?

It makes far more sense that the spread stays the same then it changes. Considering the maximum effective range of the shotty pistol is like 20m its not absurd that a shooter can keep the pistol generally on target. I mean weapon combat in empires is far from realistic but everything else is at least logical.

edit: It would take anyone about 30 seconds to give it one spread.

I just wish the stupid thing would reload faster. Even if they are powerful shots, two shots in close quarters basically equals a very dead grenadier.

One spread would be overpowered, it'd be the only weapon that's reasonably accurate while sprinting, there's a reason you don't run and gun in empires, this isn't HL2:DM

You think it's bad NOW, you should have tried it after krenzo instituted prone in the testing for 2.0.

Accuracy + Squad Accuracy + prone = the buckshot literally became a sniper weapon. You could score headshots with ALL the buckshot from the towers in crossroads to halfway past the center bridges, uber damage. It was like a god-damn magnum, and it was sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet :D
