Another problem

    when i click on the game it loads it up but the menu wont show up its a black screen and i have to exit out and i cant get to the menu to play a game

    no once i click on in my steam games it goes into the game but the screen turns black and i have to exit out and i waited for a minute

    You installed the 1.07 patch only. You have to download and install 1.0 full client, then 1.07 patch and then the 1.071b hotfix.

    So there's no small "loading..." text in the lower right corner?

    Okay this is quite far fetched but you could try setting these launch parameters: -novideo -console -heapsize 512000 (this last one is useless unless you have at least a gig of ram). The first is most important, the two others are just gonna make your life easier later on.

    Also do you get this kind of behaviour with any other mods?

    It seems like you have an outdated graphics card, or you don't have the latest drivers for your card. This always happened in BF2 for some people, and that was the problem.

    Hmm, speaking of which what are your system specs?
    If you don't know right click "My Computer->Properties" It should show your specs in the 1st tab...
