Aircraft Weapon Suggestions

As we all know, aircraft are being made and tested and textured and all that crap. This thred is for any suggestions on the weapons for the aircraft.

BUT there are rules to placeing your suggestions. IT MUST HAVE

Details and what the weapon is and what it does,

Pros:
What how you think this weapon would affect gameplay

Cons:
What would be bad about this weapon (e.g overpowerd...etc)

What aircraft it would be good for.

Whether it would be reschered or not and if it is where in the tec tree it would go.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!

I know im going to get stick from the dev's about how aircraft have not been implamented yet but I think its time we all started to talk about what we think should be comming out of the gun barrel :D

I would figure that they would be a clone of the existing weapons for tanks with slight ROF, ammo, and damage alterations.
MG's - Chain, DU, 50cal, Plasma, Bio, HXMG
Bombs - Small, Medium, High Explosive,
Missiles - Standard, Bio, Upgraded, Tracking, Upgraded Tracking

 

Plasma weapons? Fighting in overheated planes will be fun..

but seriously i think it too early to be discussion it if all of the BE don't even have concept ideas released.

 

This is abit touchy on the {NO NEW AIRCRAFT} section, HOWEVER! ill post it either way.

I think modules[not weapons] such as :
.Extra fuel slot [rather than heat/or with heat, what ever floats your } ...aircraft] }*
.Air refueling }
.EMP disrupter bomb
.Safe falling Gel [for people who want out -if a personel carrier]
.Minesweeper decoys [meaning something you drop from the plane to fubar the minefields grenadiers seem to place down and love]
.Flares [for locking turrets/aircraft]


*if fuel is even concidered to be ingame

 

That would be fun considering its the most dangerous thing to do on the planet why not :p

And as for the Gel, I think u have been watching too much futrama with the mirical cream. lol 'OH SHIT IM OUT OF GELL!!' :p

 

Air refueling:
"I'm getting fuel... 50%... 80%... 90%... Wait, am I flying in a straight line?"

Air refueling = no. That would require a flying fuel source, like one of them fuel filled uber planes. Aircraft won't be the new tanks, they are going to be too expensive for that. I know this because I have been in the community over 2 years and I learned things from the devs

 

I know it may be too early to ask and this is a question to the devs, but what kind of base prices are u thinking of putting aircraft as. Im not saying it has to be exact, but just some estemets that u have been thinking of

 

I'm no dev, but if I recall the figure Solokiller gave me correctly, the base price for a fighter is around 3000. Keep in mind, this was quite some time ago, so changes may have been made to the proposals.

 

I didn't give you any numbers at all, because i don't have them myself. Keep in mind that without models, there not much of a point to having multiple chassis types already present in test builds.

 

Especially when there will be no aircrafts lol

 

You did tell me. I forget what brought it up, but you told me to expect the fighter to cost ~3000 for the basic airframe. Although I was a bit misleading. I didn't mean you told me myself specifically, it was in the testers forum I think, for all testers to see. Or in the IRC. One of the 2.

 

3K! bluddy hell :p I dont think there would be any point of aircraft at that price :p

In my opinion the base prices should be similar if not a little bit more than the price of a heavy tank with a nuke and a cople of cannons which comes out at about 900/1K. I feel that would be a more reasonable price

But at 3K id rarther have 3/4 heavys insead of 1 bomber :p

 

The price of equipping a nuke is 500+ res IIRC. Then again, I can't remember the last time i used a nuke, so I probably don't recall correctly. Either way, a heavy tank with a nuke and decent armor is gonna cost you 1k+ res.
