Ive got many mods, and they all have no players at all.
Im currently downloading Empires, but are there enough players on it to have a good game?
Do many people play Empires?

There's usually at least a server or two full of players at peak times.

At the moment, the official server has 32/32 players playing with another server of 18 completely full.

That sounds good enough to me. As long as there are people playing, i dont mind.

 

Compared to some other mods, no, Empires does not have a very large player-base. Considering that the team is holding off on the media fanfare until it's in presentable condition, though, it's understandable. There are usually enough people online to get a good game going, if only on one server.

 

Well I've never seen less than 20-30 people. Currently there are 79 players.

If you have a download limit you can always check http://steampowered.com/status/game_stats.html for the number of players. If it satisfies you ... go download it.

But I must say, there's always at least one server with people, but that doesn't mean all of them are as capable as you'd wish.

 

Heh. There's almost never a time when there wouldn't be players. Hell I played on a full European server full of Europeans 3.00am this morning. A goddamn 28 player server, full at that time of day. :D

This mod has fantastic potential though, it offers hundreds of gamemodes whereas most other mods offer... One...

 

Actually I dont know any mods that only offer one in their design document

not a lot anyway, most mods have different gamemodes, only type of mods that really dont have a lot of gamemodes are mods that are going for lots of strategy and even most of those have different game modes

lolz, so much dystopia bashing here. I like this mod far more than Dystopia.

 

I like alot of mods, most of them just bore really fast, like Hidden, Dystopia...

The only mods I still like are CS:S, Empires and HL:CTF.

 

Well currently empires is ahead of dystropia right now in terms of player count. Krenzo's beta pwns your game ^,^

 

Dystopia got boring after first two games. Empires on the other hand... Well I don't know why, but it has become the most played mod for me. It even surpasses DoD(traditional) in my book.

 

HL:CTF is fun because it's like HL: DM but with a purpose... And it still has the hyperactive sugar pixie stick squad of ADHD doom feel to it.

 

pritty often i only see 3 servers with any one in them offical and stormed#1 and #2 but thier are quite a few others
