The BE team was absolutely horrible for not having any defense up at base...

But if they were, they woulda been toasted.

An APC rush woulda been better for a more fortified enemy base, engineer walling off everything, and grenadier get to play with the CV.

 

well i saw some ml turrets by there barracks but they were unbuilt, any way the comm could have easily ran from that jeep rush but he reacted too late. great music btw:D

 

i love the sheer balls of the NF team.

 

Awsome indeed. Tbh i would have been quite pissed at myself had it happened to me, still had it happened to me i would still have loved the nf for doing it and beating me :D

And everyone: try to organize an apcrush late game on a public server when all is lost and you JUST have the res for one apc. You will appreciate this vid even more

LOL, we did that too a week ago or so on a server - 8 times in a row. The BE team just didn't adapt, they always got overrun and never learned. Absolutly hilarious...

First rush would have been better if Thor hadnt driven the damned jeep into the sea.
Second rush failed because the comm wasted resources by spamming refs, delayed our first apc.
Third rush they were ready for us (hence why the first apc disappears around a corner near the start and is never seen again), but we got their rax and Avair planted a load of stickies on the comm. Then... well, you'll see.
Slaughtered failed because some retard built the first APC and just sat there and wouldn't let someone else drive. Luckily our rush jeep cleared out their main and we trapped them in bottom right. Avair pushed in with an LT and forced the comm on the run, which is where you see from.

All in all, it was pretty hilarious. Especially Thor's horrific jeep driving.

Nah its not so awesome, i saw alot of that actions by -NFH- on eu servers(with some sparta music :]). Tbh winning all emp classic maps in less than 20 minutes 2 times in a row makes that tactic a bit boring.

 

Less than 20 mins? The first rush is entirely in realtime, that's less than 3 minutes.

 

I think he was saying that they won all classic maps in 20 mins, not each in 20 mins :p

 

how do you counter a rush then. what's the best tactics.

firstly, get the command vehicle to MOVE. if any of the team see a rush coming, then get the CV away and at worst the rush will kill your start base

go grenadier and kill any APC's. until the rushing APCs are dead, being a rifleman is totally pointless because the enemy will keep respawning.

if they have no APC's, go rifleman and mercilessly cut down all of the infantry.

anything else?

 

well, there IS stickies nowadays so i'd say go rifleman straight away, seeing as they most likely will have standard armor one stickie will do the trick.

btw that tactic isnt perfect , it failed few times so 3rd vehicle build was emergency apc with engys to build refs , or with grenadiers for 2nd rush
