Just a simple suggestion. Keep Engineers as it is. Give scouts a 50% speed buff at 40 points. Let riflemen reload in 50% of the time at 40 points. Let Grens drop 16 mines at 40 points [If ninemine+mortar is fixed] Else, Let grens have better guidance on the RPG. How's that sound?
I don't overly like the rank buffs anyway. All of these addons would make more sense as an innate class ability from the start. If you put significant bonuses on classes once they rank up, it is either going to be overpowered when they get it, or everyone who doesn't have it is going to be underpowered, depending on how you look at it. If you made it much steadier, as in the accumulate bonuses slowly as they play, that would be more acceptable, as there would be a shorter distance between the people who don't have it and do have it.
Hmm I said something like this in another thread. I would be happier with a 5-10 dmg buff to rpg every rank, would make grens viable late game.
You do realise that the NF RPG isn't nerfed, but it's a miss in the code? That's why it doesn't do the same damage as the BE.
bonuses shouldn't give the class a big advantage in just everyday combat. if you as the same class on the enemy team run into that same class on the other team, just because he's been playing for half an hour longer than you should not mean that he deserves to win the combat because of it. that's a WoW thing to do. so the reload and especially the faster speed are out. bonus for rifleman could be picking up ammo quicker, further range for throwing grenades (this may be a hindrance though to players expecting a lower range), perhaps he heals faster from a medic. grenadier: i like the mines idea. bonus for the scout could be improved sabotage speed.
Who needs stickies?! At Sandbag I sort of agree, but your ideas don't do that very well, faster ammo longer grenade range and faster healing, they aren't exactly that great, engineers get two turrets for petes sake, and my modifications only sped things up for most classes, if that rifleman couldn't kill someone before, he's certainly not gunna do much better if he can reload in half the time. For the scout though, I can see your problem. Sabotage is pretty shitty though, it's very fast as it is so I doubt it. Maybe something else, but I don't like how scouts gain a hide bonus atm, since I don't even use hide it doesn't benefit me.
First off lemme tell dubee omgomg I wish but that would make us too good D:! specially you 2nd off to sandbag, why shouldn't it? If I have played the whole match and have swaded(?) my team to victory in some sense shouldn't I have something to compensate? I know alot of people are against the rank upgrades but why? Its only fair that because I have helped my team to victory with 50+ kills that I should get some kind of bonus for it? It is already enforced through the every 10 points an upgrade system so why not have it make grens viable late game with little effort?
Commie idea seems interesting, wouldn't be hard to do and should be look in. Can in be done in a balance way? No freaking clue, but late game grends on command maps is laughable most of the time.
Im against buffs if you reach 40 points. Im not against buffs that increase with each level. Buffs that you only get at level 40 would give the good players a tool to dominate even more.
1 additional mine per rank 10 additional damage per rank. A good gren with a good mine field could be doing 150-160 damage a shot by the time meds are ready to go. Depending on how many party buses move through, more like 200 damage >_>
I'm not really down with the extra mine per level...mines are buffed enough in my opinion and 10 damage per a rank DEVASTATING but needed, It would have to be tested but maybe 10,5,10,5 per rank...etc...etc. Since advanced gren is only 2 and a half ranks think about how much damage they do. so think of advanced gren 3x and that is what a late game gren would be doing (with the upgrade ofc)
