I'm just curious if it would be easy to do. I think it'd be pretty neat to have 60 people split into four teams, and after a team gets eliminated they get automatically auto-assigned to the remaining ones. The extra vehicles and buildings might be tough on servers though I guess. And I guess stacking would be a bigger problem too, unless you force auto-assign from the start. Anyway, just a thought.
Sorry, but server slots would really need to be increased a LOT for this to happen. And what makes it so that not three teams stack up on one?
It's been suggested a few times and mostly shot down and then the discussions always turned into people saying specs should be a team of birds that just fly around instead of fight. And some CW jokes were involved too.
I still think it'd be pretty neat. And 3 people in RTS games can always gang up if they want to, they still have to fight each other later. I wonder if its simple enough for someone to try out as a minimod. I really have no idea, I guess I'm hoping to interest someone who does know so they can make it for me.

Yea the birds should be able to drop shit by pressing "h", after which they will squawk loudly which will warn everyone that they are about to take a dump on their heads.

If it was up to the mapper I don't see any problems with having duplicate teams. Some BEvBE would be nice once in a while.

Not likely in Empires, but I think this is where the FPS/RTS genre is going. One of the major deficiencies in Empires IMO is that only 2 people get to play the RTS portion. This is a way to increase that and put more RTS in FPS/RTS hybrids.
I had an amazing idea, we should have 2 different bird classes, with 3 bird vehicles, Bird classes: Spawwwn bird= Works like a apc with spawn but can shit twice the normal amount, the shit is acidic ... (j/k no need to take it serious spawwn) Agent Daruck= Can steal res by flying on top of refs, 1 bird can get 1 res/sec Vehicles: Thunderbird= Small tank, is SMALL, twice the size of an ammobox with an owl character on the driver seat that says "orly" every time you drive over someone, has a improved standard cannon, a salvo HIT rocket launcher and a lazer mg Minibird with MG: Small bike with side car and MG (Twice as strong as med chaingun), can change firemode to accurate (1 shot, 1 kill) The Cleanerbird: Small sewer cleaning vehicle that can get 5 res/sec from refs, can spawn laggy smoke, dirt and nuke particles as a distraction :D That would give spectators what they deserve, a fair, relaxing and owning team, spectators win anyway so it wouldn't matter if it were slightly overpowered
