Time https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20170812T190000&p1=1440 So two weeks from when this was posted. About Last time we had some good games and reached a player number of 46. Due to a steam issue we only really managed to play two games and a lot of players weren't able to join in the event. So I thought I would set up another event. How ranked match works: You join NF at the start of the round. You can then join squads depending on the player number. >16 players: 2 man squads, >28 3 man squads, >40 4 man squads. The plugin will automatically decide teams based on each player/squads mmr. If you win a game you will gain MMR/leagues, else you will lose them. You can use !emprank !commrank !top rank to see how you are doing. Placement After your first ranked match you will be placed into a league based on a conservative estimate from your main MMR. The benefits: - No stacking - Teams are completely decided by the system. - No password - Completely open to everyone - No waiting around - no steam groups or communication software. -Doesn't matter if you join late or in the middle of a game. Maps con_district (warmup: starts at 18: 30 UTC) emp_raiders_b1 emp_king_r5_nosplt emp_cyclopean emp_homeland_b9 Server Mr. X hardcore empires Adjustments Teams will be selected by main MMR and not ranked MMR. Main MMR takes into account all games played so it is more accurate.
Added to countdown on my test server. This also helped me find a bug in my Event Timeleft Hostname plugin :D It would add extra day to timeleft. Think it has something to do with today being 31th in the month :D Thanks
Map list decided: emp_raiders_b1 emp_king_r5_nosplt emp_cyclopean emp_homeland_b9 Also the PUG is next Saturday in case anyone else is confused.
Ok so there were some issues. I think first 2 games were reasonable, not really stacked but not that well balanced either. Mainly due to a lot of unknown players and a problem with the rating system. Ratings were basically back to front and exaggerated due to a change I made, which is why i had to shut it down after the second round. Also !rmi appeared to be admin only which didn't really help people understand the system. Instead of making the teams more balanced the teams would get worse and worse if I had left it on longer. But cyclopean was seriously boring. I should have chosen another big open map instead. Anyway thank you to everyone that attended. Hopefully someone finds a fix for the end of game crash sometime soon.
