Since the desired 2.25 release is in a week and a half, it would probably be good to have at least one solid tester PUG. I'd suggest this Saturday in the 5-7pm GMT range. I can schedule the PUG in the tester group and harass people to join on Saturday if the devs think this is reasonable. Someone would have to update the test server (as I don't have access to it). Any takers? Edit: Its much easier to organize these things if everyone is in the tester steamgroup (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/emptesters). Its invite only so you need to add me on steamfriends (SN: ScardyBob) or harass one of the other steamgroup admins. Edit2: I changed the playtest time to start an hour earlier so that it doesn't overlap with the Social Modding Club people. I suggest after the playtest we fill as many servers as possible to make the mod look good.
Do you think the SVN version will be working by Saturday? We could probably test it as long as their are no crash bugs.
Will this be our new SVN test server? Can you post the rcon password or change it to "asd" like for the old server?
I'm not sure if it will be the new one long term (then again I don't see why it wouldn't be). RCON pass set (asd).
For Saturday I never know if I have time or not. But I will try to join. Yesterday evening as I logged into the SVN server the engi tools seems to be broken. Would be hard to test stuff without it. And any ideas what we should test? Or should we just test everything and post bugs and issues?
You tested an old build, also the builds are currently debug builds which throw a lot of asserts which you can mostly ignore, these are only important to us devs. Another side issue of debug builds is that they are very slow. We are mostly finished i think only a few bugs remain, i think we can give you release builds to test soon i think.
