I should have some things fixed by tomorrow. I will also need more testers to check performance. I think we'll start to remove testers that don't show up.
As a thought, you might get more testers if you maybe thought of giving at least some notice? It's not too much to ask is it? Because some of us have things to do, like sleep. I for example was asleep during all the time the last test was announced, right past when it happened, then I got a steam announcement saying another one was apparently starting now which was completely unhelpful because I didn't have time to update my svn in order to be ready for 'now'. If you can't be bothered to organise anything don't be surprised and whine when the only people you get are the people who just happened to be online and not doing anything, and also don't be surprised when that group doesn't have a lot of people in it. As it happens I will probably be asleep during this test as well, so also consider perhaps changing times if nobody shows up to the time you always use.
Also make sure you update your SVN in time, it might be possible that you have to redownload the whole thing (again).
I didn't mean you. I meant people who didn't update SVN for weeks and still don't want to do it. And I know that all previous tests were announced too late.
I'd test if the SVN stopped breaking constantly and forcing me to re-checkout. I'll have to do it again tonight for the 4th time.
I feel stupid, I didn't check the forums, god I wish there was a Steam group for this (Wait, is there?)
As far as I know SVN hasn't been broken since Kylegar made wrong commit. (but I don't use empires_test) If that isn't the case then KaneTW set svnsync incorrectly.
Still not working...must be doing something wrong...i'll try the other url again. I've probably just not set it up right. It would have to be on the major release for steam that I wouldn't be able to test :p
Then KaneTW must have done something wrong. I'll try again to make a Steam GCF that we can distribute to testers.
