So the general plan is to see if we can do some kind of playtest this weekend. The sooner we test, the sooner we can release 2.23. I spoke with Napalmove:, and he has kindly donated a game server for testing the latest version. It should be running 24/7. SVN is still a bit messed up, but it IS possible to get all the files with a bit of patience. I also know a number of people were successful in acquiring the entire package last week. We're working on a solution to these bugs, but it might take some time. Also, what do you guys think of a weekly playtest every saturday during/following the PUG? I know a lot of people will be tired and heading off to bed, but I'd really like to get cracking on these bugs.
Sure, but I would add a specific time (for people who aren't participating in the PUG). The PUG is at 9pm GMT so maybe have the playtest at 10pm GMT?
IMO we should do a play test Before the pug because after people are tired of empires and just want to sleep or do something else
Tentatively, 10pm GMT tonight sounds like a good time. If it doesn't work out, we can change the time for next week.
