[2.21] Playtest, December 20, 12PM PST

    Heres our priorities for the week that we wish to accomplish before the test, so this is what I want to test.

    • Fine Tuning the Weapon Balance
    • Fine Tuning vehicle balance
    • Fix Crashes
    • Fix stupid bugs

    2.21 will be a quick release, probably with only 1 playtest.

    Also, Omni, can we get your version of slaughtered for the playtest?

    Current Changelog:

    [Modified] In the BE Armory, the Ammo and Health crates are now in the center of the building

    [Fixed] emp_escort: Nukes are now properly unresearched (EDIT: And this line is now properly englished XD)
    [Fixed] emp_urbanchaos: APC spawn is now enabled
    [Fixed] Included the missing cfgs

    if it helps any I ONLY crash while in com but, the god damn thing won't generate a crash report and it seems to crash randomly.

    I'll be there. Are we going to have a "no dicking around" rule this time?

    Is the folder going to be EmpiresTest again?

    I'll be there but I think we need a pretty thoroughly tested and balanced patch after this one. I don't think we can get all the problems solved in a quick patch but we can get them in a better condition easily

    And, I'll decide the folder thing later. We need to see if we can fix the physics.cpp crash first (It's the cause of the commander crashes).

    That's why development is an iterative process. There may/may not be more work on the 2.2 branch after 2.21, depending on the outcome of this week. If we can get a solid balance that is less bitchy, no more crashes, and fix some of the most annoying bugs, we will be golden. Ofcourse, I doubt we will get there, so, odds are, there will be a 2.22

    Hmmmm, don't think I will make since I will be heading home for the holidays (i.e. probably won't have ready internet access). Good luck with the testing.

    Yeh, seeing as the majority of testers just renamed their SVN folders and the SVN is still attributed to it, you're gonna have to sort the SVN details out IN DETAIL.

    Surely it's just a case of copying the folder and renaming it to EmpiresTest again...

    I just copied my existing emp-folder, renamed it to EmpiresTest, then used SVN to update.
    Whee for hotfix!

    for some reason the none tester version of 2.2 is faster (more fps) than the tester version.
