since the 2.21 release I have noticed on a few servers that when the map is won, it won't change maps. people just sit and wait and wait and wait. the server has to be reset. also rtv quit working. not sure if either are related,
i think, if the server crashes at mapchange the same map gets loaded again. votemap, rtv dont work because theres a problem with sourcemod in new version.
It isnt sourcemod itself. It's because new offsets are needed for SM to properly interface. This issue was created in 2.2, the engine change, and 2.21 came before it could be resolved. Now, a related message directed at a few select people. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT REFUSES TO SHARE THE OFFSET DATA, REMEMBER THIS: YOU ARE HURTING THE COMMUNITY OVERALL BECAUSE OTHER SERVERS CANNOT PROPERLY BE ADMINISTRATED. THIS CAUSES NEW PLAYERS TO LEAVE BECAUSE ADMINS CANNOT ENSURE A FUN GAME, AND THE NEW PLAYERS WILL THINK ITS NORMAL.
give them the information. griefers already noticed that they dont have to fear bans and fuck up the games (i already collected some steam IDs). can admins ban players atm? serveral ppl ingame said they cant.
It's quite possible to ban people without an admin plugin. The real purpose of an admin plugin is to allow admins to kick/ban people without full access to the server console. You might also say that it's more secure than RCON, since they usually rely on SteamIDs instead of a password.
