[2.2] Playtest #3 16.00 GMT 30th of August

I want to see how well server can handle multiple tanks. With 8 heavy tanks on the server spamming their 5 MLs we got 2% of CPU use. It would be good to have at least 30 testers during this playtest.

Is there a difference in load between the different types of missiles?
Would a salvo launcher act differently cpu wise then the same amount in standard mls, or a salvo homing missile etc?

 

A salvo missile launcher is basically the same, it just empties the entire clip in one shot. It would actually be the same if you just shot a standard ml until itss clip is empty.

 

My guess is that the longer a missile flies the longer it needs to be calculated. Homing missile spam ftw.

 

It was just a microbenchmark. With 30 people on the server you can see how game behaves in normal conditions.

Have you pm Dizzyone with the request for the new username and password? The old ones were leaked so they changed them. Anyway the update works fine for me, so I don't think its the SVN.

 

What's funny is, I'll actually be doing something more interesting with my time on Saturday than playing empires.

I'll be taking a lecture from Marc Rosenwasser. He's won over 23 News emmys while working at NBC.

Finally, got the rc up and running crashed the server (official) about 2-20pm cst found the mdmp files and looking to send them in.! More mdmp files plz guys!!!
