Can i suggest you plan an event for the 'Empires testers' group? It will automaticly adjust the time to everyone's timezone, so there's no confusion at all. Wait a minute apart from Krenzo no (recent) devs are in that group. I assume it's not being used anymore?
I don't think i'll be able to download the empires in time ( in only found out i was a tester today, and i've been busy with my immenant exam results), will try and make it if I can.
IMPORTANT FOR ALL TESTERS: This version does not include infantry weapon balancing. Please pay extra attention to the accuracy and recoil of all weaponry and WRITE DOWN ANY OVERPOWERED WEAPONS (too accurate, too fast, too little recoil). A weapon tryout will be released in the next few days, hopefully in time for the next playtest.
damnit guys! Can't you put the test a bit later? Some people have to work .. and being home at 17 in the afternoon is quite early (Western Europe time) Can we also have an IP address for the test server in case it doesn't show up?
I hope I'll be back for that time. Server runs modified vehicle scripts too. They shouldn't break anything but feel free to comment on them. Especially the NF one's need work.
I have a family dinner at that time, but i'll come online immediately after it's over. Shouldn't be more than 3 hours. That is unless my younger cousins will stay longer, in which case i'll be there longer as well to defeat them in soccer
If you crash when joining the server try setting "emp_cl_hint_seed" to "40" before connecting. You need to add -console launch parameter to open console in Empires 2.2.
I'll be at the playtest as soon as I can, I'm just waiting for the SVN download and breakfast to be over.
Update your SVN to r400 and add "-debug -allowdebug" to your launch options. If you crash then send crashes to marek.sieradzki@gmail.com. I don't want any crash dumps from previous SVN versions.
kai, also if you haven't realised, add -console to your launch options since it isn't currently enabled by default.
