Tested this out on SoF a minute ago, and while it prevents all munitions from going through wheels, it also causes LT's to spin out of control when they hit a curb, or in worst cases, flip.
When I drove up that part in the east of slaughtered, I noticed that I actually took damage. I was red before, when I reached the NF-base, I was flashing.
Yep, was bound to happen, the NF CV needs proper testing too. These changes will have to be reverted, I'll try making them slightly different, but I'm afraid we're going to need bigger changes than just a collision model alteration to fix the former problems with the NF CV and LT.
Isn't it possible to have something block bullets in a model, without it being an actual collision mesh?
I tried driving NF c, it seemed to be laggy. (maby other vehicles were like that too, it's very subjective).
maybe to do this we might have to actually change the models? we can always make the CV and the light tank "hover" instead
Quick fix might just have to hit box cover 3/4 of the wheel instead of all the way? More likely to hit the wheel but high enough that we don't get the other problems.
OHH I vote for hover because then they can cross the water. Ultra advantage! Ohh ohh and NO more water griefing for the CV. lol
not a quick fix plz... This game is already full of quickfixes! also a quickfix will only result in even bigger problems later on..
I meant remove the wheels like my hatred of invisible walls, I don't like seeing visible parts that don't register hits
