1.08 and 1.07 at the same time

Is there a way to use 1.07 and 1.08?
I mean, with a 1.07-client I can't join the 1.08-testserver,
but with 1.08 installed, there is only one server to play on - and most the time it is empty
So, how do I manage to have the best of both worlds? :D

 

install both..
They can be installed next to eachother and you can maybe even run them together...

 

so in ...\sourcemods\ having 2 different instances of Empires installed?
ie "Empires" for 1.07 and "empirestest" for 1.08?

It's Empires_108 and Empires.

 

1.07 is "Empires"
1.08 is "Empires_108"
in the steam sourcemods folder
They are also listed in the steam games menu seperetly.

 

and they share absolutely no files together (unless you make 1.071 run via SDK Base)

I might have tried to install 1.08 as a patch on a copy of 1.07.
