    Confirmation of engi wall bug

Hi i'm eth0 server admin from the BSID Clan, and after speaking to roor20 (i think that's the guys name) i can replicate the walls-crashing-the-server 100% of the time.

Simply making a wall of 10 units crashes the server.

If you build upto 9.. .fine, build the 10th segment, crash.

Same goes for any division of walls, build the 10th part and boom :/

    Our server platform is:
    Code:
    Linux ns.eth0.uk.net 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4smp #1 SMP Tue Jul 11 22:57:02 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

    Running 1.071 Empires,
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
    1GB Ram

eth0, you need to work on your forum etiquette (although your pwnageness is very refined :D)

Make a new post my friend, don't revive an old one :)

yea i went through all of the servers today to see which ones crashed. It might be a linux thing. What does the UK official run on, win or linux.

Official runs on linux. I isolated the source of the crash. It makes no sense why it crashes where it does. It must be a bug in the linux libraries. I'll release a fix tomorrow.

I'm on my knees hoping this can be a small patch; cheers Krenzo for the very speed trace of this very tedious bug!

Well, it's a patch, but I lost contact with Rick when he was compiling the final version for release.
