1.071 Very wield bug

This happened little bit ago, and I have not seen any bugs posted about this.

We where playing slaughter, both teams a plent of tickets. Yet northern lost, with out there comm truck dieing and the barracks getting destroyed. This happened on two maps, I have a feeling this is a glitch someone is executing.

Are you sure it wasn't an admin that stopped the game or forced a win for BE?

 

Positive. Only two admins on were myself and Whale. (wondered what happend to that game!)

 

Are you absolutely sure that it wasn't a ninja attack?

 

You gotta give more information than that, unless the devs know exactly what you are talking about there is no use in posting a screenshot that doesnt show anything at all.

 

A loss that early does seem suspicious. Just a few things to check, I'm sure you've probably done it already though:

Sure NF lost? BE could have suicided comm in that time.
Was NF barracks built? I'm guessing yes, as the radar seems to show it so.
sv_cheats status. If the info_params entity is named, ent_fire can be used at the console to input a win/loss.

You say it happened on another map too, what was that out of interest?

It's certainly looking like an exploit at the moment, but why isn't it happening more often if that is the case?

 

Maybe an enemy arty killed the cv, but the cv didn't change colors, since there's a decal behind the cv of an explosion.

 

For me most of a time as a commander a building doesnt get rendered as destroyed (completly black model), I thought this was a problem only I was experiencing, but this might be whats really going on in that pic.

Which is also a pretty serious bug ofc, I had it on our first clan match and it was a bit annoying.

 

Yes, it seems you got a nija there. The black mark behind the comm truck looks like a pile of mines that went boom. It is solid too, so it was more then just one mine.

Im not 100% sure by any means, but i would say a ninja got it.

 

Looks a lot like it. I've had it happen to me once... ONCE!

That's why it's important to have an engineer drop their radar near the CV. This way you can spot ninjas on the minimap while they are trying to mine you.

then, there is a glitch in the models, I never saw my tank move from any mines... also the barracks WAS built... We had 3 barrackses.

I tried to reproduce the bug



and the problem was idd the model not being rendered as destroyed, this happens when the commander goes out of sight of the destroyed unit

 

maby the ninja hid himself inside your cv , i know that when you build turrets or radar underneath a cv you get propped up inside it where no-one can see you or harm you , although you cant move.
the only way to stop that kind of attack is to move your cv around a little.
think of this like what happens when a tank runs you over , you can't move untill the tanks gone.

I was in that game and the next (which ended the same way......abruptly) I was on BE on the map in that game have several screens also of other strange occurances that night........particular group of players and victories......:eek:

 

I think I was in the arty south east of the map : - /
