    With alot of people debating what they think should be in 1.06 and how long it should take i thought a poll would be a good idea ;)

    I expect much of the work for 1.06 is already done and it will certainly have been well planned , so how much good this thread will do is debatable. Though it might help for future updates.

    As much as I want to see new content, I'd have to go with "Quick fixes", even though it might delay the big patch even more.

    Currently, there isn't much that needs fixing in 1.5: build limit to include turrets, NF rifle buff and Artillery chassis price increase. Everything else (e.g. map glitch fixes, grenade spam solution, aircraft, etc.) can wait until 1.6 is released.

    The game is playable as it is right now, I wouldnt mind waiting another month, or 2

    Dont see what should be fixed so badly. Having quick updates is great, but you shouldnt expect it all the time tbh.

    BE rifle? Why, on a map like escort and district its not really about the rifles anyway. On bigger maps the NF rifle is kinda useless, but doesnt decide a game at all. If it does then theres definitly a bigger problem in your team than just some uber rambo guy with a BE rifle

    what i find most disturbing is the amount of ppl that would prefer attack dolphins to new content. tho i guess attack dolphins would kinda be classed as new content

    I am for the both of fixes and new content: There is no very much that need to be fixed... Turretspam is annoying but the game is playable, I would like the great patch which fixes EVERYTHING^^ (and adds aircraft)

    I think wait untill 1.06 with aircrafts + new weapon models i think it would better serve the community as for i cant see a quick hotfix making the difference as of much atm.

    But i think the res system might need alook at, i have been playing on a 24 man server with it full and being commander with 7 refinaryies capped. And for trying to build a deffense with turrets + researching + tanks, the res income is just not enough. Getting almost half of the team whining they aint getting enough upgrades and almost all the team complaining they have not got any decent tanks, or someone has one and they dont and they have been waiting for ages. And with Aircrafts to be implemented soon its going to be a nightmare so many people wanting the stuff and trying to get research and building turrets and a deffensive area. we played for like 1hour and 20mins and only like 7 tanks were built and got wasted very easily by the pro emp_players. What would help the servers also and for larger games if their wasnt this stalemate with very little to attack going on. the longer the game goes the more likely its gonna crash! more res means quicker research more tanks more battles meaning game ends slightly quicker instead of 1-4 hour games. Because if you are playing a decent side your in for a long battle. I feel more res income will allow both teams to play more offensive and would please more players that enjoy the game instead of waiting how long for a tank they will be able to get one within a decent time frame. Its either give the tank to the pro person and have the other whines. or give the tank to the people who cant use them properly and get them destroyed and have the pro person whine!

    post your comments also what you think about the res system! i am sure i am not the only one who thinks this.

    There's a server side cvar for increasing the amount of res generated per second based on how many players there are. I've never heard of complaints with res being too low with a full server before.

    there was 14 men either side, res towers going up and also having to replace them sometimes as they were taken down same also with turrets rebuilding and placing them to deffend, as well as res going on building a light tank with armour etc going up to prices of 1150res and jeeps well waste of res nothing gained but transport. A machine gun on it would be nice, and for not seeying your team mates gun in your face while driving would be a bonus, but anyhow back to the point all the res spending i had to do and on the teams side was practicaly not enough we could only pump out a few tanks and there was alot of whining within the team and camping around the vechicale factory for tanks. even though i restriced building in the end. The research in some places does cost a hell of alot and holding on to res points and keeping the middle of the map is fairly expensive. And tbh allowing a seperate cvar within the game to allow for adjustments within the game isnt very wise considering if this game is going to be played competively like a league or ladder later on or if not pcws now as for either side arguing the res income is too short, its been like this on about 3 servers i have played on ok you have the cvar to allow for more res but there should in all fair play be a right balance within it as default to compensate for these amount of players, otherwise go onto 1 server too much res goto another too little. Ive played NaturalSelection since 1.04 and was my main clans commander i use to love commanding alot, in empires i hate commanding because of a whiny team who cant get any tanks or stuff they want, which infairness everyone should do at some stage be able to afford a tank or something they wish for. I have been to no server where the commander has like +1000 res in a serious game at any one stage and its always a select few who get to drive away with the tanks, when you are about to implement planes i think it will create an even worse problem because the commander wont be able to keep up with the research because of buying all the tanks and crafts tbh. this is how i feel personaly after playing and commanding so many games in empires i have been playing since 1.02 roughly that res system was just too much loads of res left over however i feel its just too little on most standard servers.

    i think Dt|Lance should load up .01 and soemone else make a server for it and he can see for himself why res is the way it is.

    an easier way to get an idea would be too search for haunted and read the lobsters rant on the old days.

    i have played it and the res system then was stupid having about 6000+ res building as much as you like, but currently i feel there is an opposite affect atm with the res system and especialy on large servers and catering for your team needs as a commander and trying to win.

    IMHO, you are supposed to be strapped for resources. Commanding needs to be more than just placing buildings and clicking on the research tree. There is a lot of strategy involved when you can't have everything at once. Commander is forced to make dicfficult choices: throw all resources into research for best upgrades, defend the crap outta the base, expand like there is no tomorrow or do an early vehicle rush. You should not be able to do all of the above, unless of course the map is specifically designed for that (e.g. emp_Money).

    Well I'd like to see a new release solely for the purpose of getting more people to play it.

    For some reason there is a negative interest field around this mod and it really annoys me.
