I know spike/scar was talking about setting up a euro server, but it's not called brenodia so I don't know who's running it. Whoever it is should probably be told empires doesn't play very nice at 64 pop it seems, at least that's what creeper told me during the last pug we had which is why server went down to 56 or whatever it was after it crashed.
Well from what I've been told the crash we experienced last PUG was due to a bug that has now been reported to the devs. However there was some obvious lag. But keep in mind, it was a PUG, which means much more active players, more tanks, and no spectators. I think on a regular pub server it's okay to have 64 slots because you will always have spectators and unassigned. However I also think that lag is directly proportional to the amount of tanks on the battlefield, so running 64 players would go just fine if you were to reduce the amount of tanks.
I remember epic running 64 players and doing fine. It would lag, but just because we had 20 tanks shooting at 20 other tanks. If we would just implement vehicle limitations it would be greaaat
Empires or its servers though? It used to run okay ages ago on worse servers unless both sides got a buttload of tanks. If anything id expect the bloated veh count to cause the epic lags like the one year ago during emp_forest pug. The amount of tanks in a single choke was absurd.
