I enjoy the idea that a game such as empires, the ultimate weapon of combat should be a bit more logical. Meaning: It is very common that in all games and current day armies. The ultimate fighting force even with unlimited resources is NOT the deployment of a mass produced identical unit with minor differences in equipment. (Heavy Tanks) It would be nice at least to have a game mode called: EmpiresPro. Where Heavy tanks are removed. Not having heavies would open up the strategy and add more choices to the game since both BE and NF med tanks have identical customization capabilities. Arty tanks would be a bit more relevant and hopefully more present on a regular basis. Overall research would be more original and diverse. Obviously Grenadiers and Infantry units could have their place up until late games. Now I want us to keep a gamemode for Heavy tanks for all the noob players that only play engineer and drive tanks all day. love empires because it's the first FPS they can get a decent K/D.
Well I can tell you right now that heavies will not be removed from the game no matter how hard everyone asks for it. How about making a server plug-in that allows you to disable certain vehicles. This would allow matches on money without arty or other matches without heavies or APCs, etc. I don;t know how feasible this is though.

Nerfing them involved putting the price up or putting a limit on them. Most arty being an issue is only present on money. Please not this game mode may not be aimed at you which is what the name EmpiresPro implies.
Arty happens to be the only other vehicle apart from APC that has strategic value rather than just pure tactical value. Why people hate it is beyond me. Dickjuice, haven't you played lately? Games end before heavies are researched.
I hate it because it feels like you are playing a game of battleship where you just plot out your points on a grid map and use arty feedback to shell that area (usually pre defined by the map) and hope you happen to hit the other teams buildings. It's just so far from fun to me, It's the same reason I hate mines.
Different people, different [insert something here I dunno]. This is lame and I should feel bad. For me, I have no issue with arty in general. I often see the battlefield from the command view, and arty is just another strategy in your effort to keep the enemy at a disadvantage. Sure, some people don't enjoy sitting there and shelling the enemy, but I know of several players that love arty tanks and don't mind doing exactly that. Go ahead, state the obvious, some people like doing things others don't like doing. Some players like to play rifleman on comm maps, so they can efficiently kill enemy infantry. I don't think rifleman is very fun in those situations. They do. Yeah sure, keep making a point nobody cares about The fact of the matter is, there's so much to empires that different people will enjoy different aspects. This is true of most games, especially those with multiple player classes. TF2, for instance. I guarantee you every single person who has played TF2 has hated one particular class. because massive generalizations definitely help prove a point :beaten_nf:WHY DID I TAKE THE TIME TO REPLY. I DON'T EVEN LIKE MY POST, AND I THINK THIS THREAD IS DUMB AND NEEDS NO DISCUSSION.
Can we stop muddying up Gameplay with drivel that ought to be in Suggestions? If you're making a thread to persuade someone that the game needs modified, then that's a suggestion.
So do I. Come back in 3 days and dont make stupid shitposts. I probably wouldve went for more but in fairness you've been acting relatively sensibly lately
