huh... you got super good memory if you can actually remember that many names... isn't the average person only capable of remembering around 50 or so names before shit gets bury? Need to look that up again. edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunbar's_number
That doesn't relate to just remembering names, I mean if you could only remember 100 names how could someone remember all those latin names for plants/body parts/diseases/minerals and so on.
That has nothing to do with remembering usernames. I can look at the list of usernames and tell which ones are familiar to me. Some I can put to a personality, some I can not. The idea that people can only remember 50 names is absurd.
Not only does that article note that the number is around 150, but also that it applies only to stable personal relationships, not names in general. I mean, think about it. It's implausible to only remember 150 names, let alone only 50. If you add up all the famous people I can name, that'd easily outdo 150, not to mention the number of people I personally know.
I felt old yesterday when I randomly was watching university challenge and one of the kids didn't know Aerosmith when they heard it. Cryin' no less. There's so many reasons to know that song.
How the fuck doesn't recognize Aerosmith? Okay, I can get someone not knowing a particular song, bur Steven Tyler's vocals and Joe Perry's guitar are impossible to miss. Fuck this, I'm gonna' listen to some Aerosmith now.
You people missed the Pokemon joke. In the first generation of Pokemon there are 151 Pokemon, counting Mew. Not 150. By the fourth generation there were 493 but after that I no longer cared.
Mewtwo is just mew but messed up and it's not even evolved. Could it be there really is just ONE FIDDY???
