Mediums don't have to do anything. Heavies would get a nerf to health and a cost decrease, most likely. The roles would be differentiated as mediums as field tanks and heavies as weapon platforms, though, yes. So my thoughts were that the heavies would be something that would need to be protected a little more, but would bring the heavy power it still brings.
Yeah I'd rather have offensive meds and defensive heavies honestly. Meds are more fun to drive and should be the punching arm, whilst heavies should be a wall of metal that isn't going anywhere, including forward, any time soon. Hell I'd support meds getting a 3slot and the heavies getting dual 2 slots, that could be cool (we'd need more 3 slot weapons though)
So, the main problem with heavies- dual HE, is still left in place, but now rails are shit because dps are cut in half.
I said there'd have to be new 3slot weapons (and you could justify buffing railguns) logically there would have to be a slight rehaul to weapon balance.
Yeah, I feel like the slot system is tragically underused. We have all of 5 fucking 1-slot weapons and they are all unlocked by default. Two are MGs... We have 3 stinking 3-slot weapons and one of them (nukes) are situational. Honestly, nukes need nerfed. Not because nukes are bad, but so we can have NF heavies with 2 3-slot MLs and more useful 3-slot weapons. Also, 3-slot GLs & 3-slot arty? Anyone?
Yes please. But seriously though, if heavies had a slower speed, you could give them much lower gears without issue.
Increase cost, and research time. Give NF 1x2 cannon slot and 4x3 ml slots give BE 1x2 ml slot and 4x3 cannon slots Cut heat from weapons in half increase heat from moving x10 cut speed in half.
I gave heavy lower axel ratio... that cut the acceleration down as well as stopping that fucking annoying start up spinout you can get with 3shit and scout speed. I actually like the fact that heavy now has a slower take off speed while still having the same top speed and almost same HP. Also ya increased weight a tad and did some other things... its hard to spin out without doing it intentionally now. I may tweak all the vehicles though to modify speeds in this order Fastest to slowest Jeeps Meds Heavy Com Trickster This way... all vehicles can catch the com... although the com will have the ability to push them the fuck out of the way. Or perhaps put com on the same level as heavy.
Do you have anything good and Unique from Spartacuspires? I know Mr.Weedy (the dude that got banned for doing the same thing you did, though he was a productive member of the community and non abrasive) had a ton of weapons but a lot of them were variants. Do you have anything good to pimp out the 1-slot/3-slot divide? Bearing in mind that HIT is much stronger than we'd want most 3-slot's to be.

He always seemed kinda sad to me, actually. I never once played with him where he was pretending he was good...but I could have just missed it. Oh, I see I put a random word in my post which should not have been there, whoops :eek: It'll be interesting to see how the vehicles go if they're a bit slower. If heavies don't get an armour nerf they're still going to be overly powerful, but at least if they can't run away so quickly they might be more easily finished off.
make the heavies into experimental/strategic weapons and give them only one three slot. stuff like guided nukes (the same kind of nuke as right now, but guided) lasers (a continuous beam of super focused light that fades into the draw distance dealing more damage to closer targets than nearer ones), long range artillery (just like arty tanks). and then... change arty tanks into drone carriers. let the drones be capable of either building and repairing or attacking and defending within a certain radius of the host tank.
