Tldr: scout sab does nothing. Options: 1: scout sab will make enemy research longer or slower 2. Scout sab will stop reaserch entierly 3. scout sab will tell the commander what the enemy has reaserched or IS researching

I suggested that if all built radars are sabotaged, each second of research takes two seconds of game time, but that idea didn't get far as other issues took up coder time instead. It's important to note that sabotaging a radar does have an effect, albeit a far less pronounced one. Aside from going down to 50% of its max health, a sabotaged radar provides the detection functionality for the team that sabotaged it instead of the owners. Did you read what Smithy posted? Per the wiki. Thats a big benefit for sneaking in. Edit: Sure it doesn't do something to the severity of the VF/Barracks, but it does do something.
To be fair, a friendly scout that's close to the enemy radar already auto-spots the nearby enemy units to the scout's team. So it seems to be useful only when the scout is dead and the radar remains unrepaired, or if the scout have moved on to other bases. It's not useless but probably not as useful as it looks. We can probably rework this into "reveal the entire minimap for a few seconds, once every half a minute" or something like that.
I wouldn't have it stop research completely. It would pretty much turn the meta into have X scouts in the team where X is the amount the enemy has, and the enemy's meta would be have X+1 radars. Basically it'd turn into a "build more radar" war. Like many, including myself, suggested, halving the speed of research would be an ideal compromise.
If you go by your logic sabbing doesnt do this, so it shouldnt do this on the radar then you should apply it to sabbing halfs most shit some way, radar should half shit someway aswel -> half research speed. Otherwise you dont get to use that logic cause you're a hypocrit. But thats just incase.
I did you're trying to adjust the suggestions to make it logical to which Im replying if you are using that logic to get the suggestion to be good then it should be half the speed.
This is exactly what I said. If each second of research takes two seconds of game time, then research is conducted at half the normal speed, which brings radar sabotage in line with other buildings.
