it IS near the fastest way to make points one of the fastest actually, i'd put it after riflewhoring and sabbing
Doesn't it give you a point for points of charge used instead of resources gained? I legit can't remember, but you'd think I would if recycling a heavy gave me 7 points.
depends on the armour and equipment, but it's still a fucking lot (at least for me) tbh it should be under suggestions or somethign to maybe make security notice it or maybe devs i dunno
Again, it's (with my modification) the same speed as building, 1 point for 100 calculator (or 50 with repair upgrade). This is nowhere near the fastest way of gaining points, the fastest way is healing upgrade + any kind of damage (just find a lvl1 MG turret, get someone to stand in front of it and watch the point flow). Healing, reviving, being on the frontlines. Tank recycling is just a drain in the calculator for which you mostly won't have time. And that's in the early game, late game it's a suicidal mission at best. Anyway, here's the first public release of my server's config. In it you will find among other things multitude of plugins to help administrate your server and a lot of integration for Empires in the admin menu (still working on it). Edit: 1.0.1: removed stuff from server.cfg and included readme.txt, commandlist.txt, changelog.txt, missingstuff.txt and plugins list.txt Edit2: keep in mind these are the files "as is", you should go through most of them before starting your server or it'll have the same name, admins and settings as mine.
Just to say a few things. 1: In 2.13.0 we'll have lower wages, except for destroying enemy vehicles. 2: I agree that 150 calc units for a point is ...not very rewarding, even though points don't do jack shit. I wasn't the one who added the variable and set it at 150, so yeah, it will be 100 in 2.13.0 as well.
Do you have a rundown of what's worth what done already? I'd love to see it to gauge the impact of the changes.
1.0.3: - Added umc_mapcycle.txt - Removed my server's admins from admin.cfg - Changed the server name in server.cfg to "Empires Server" - Rewrote readme.txt to include more informations.
1.0.4: - Updated changelog.txt - Updated commandlist.txt - Added Empires Server A to Z.txt (alpha release) - Updated missingstuff.txt - Updated empires\scripts\rankpoints.txt - because it had been returned to original by the 2.12.2 update.
1.1.0: The Illogical Version Numbering. - Added votetime.smx a plugin made by Mikleo that adds !votetime !pausevote and !resumevote. - Changed min_players for a few maps in umc_mapcycle.txt. - Updated commandlist.txt with votetime's commands. - Updated NCEV to 0.6.0 And a question: Should I turn infantry maps into sudden death battles for cooldown between long commander maps? (currently is 10 minutes timelimit). Or, should I have 2 versions of each infantry map, one with 10 minutes and one with instant sudden death?
If anything, you should have a version with the stock timelimit for seeding/lowpop times, and a short (5-10 minutes until sudden death) version for intermission/cooldown times.
1.1.1: - Updated votetime to 0.2. - Raised limits so you can place as much stuff as you want, currently experimenting. - Removed frost and king from mapvote. - Reduced previously played maps banned from vote to 6. - Increased vehicle cooling (engineer's skill) to 25%. - Added the server maps spreadsheet (html format). - Updated NCEV to 0.6.1.
This translates to "Commanders can crash the server if they try hard enough". Admittedly, on most maps they'd have to try pretty hard, but still, that's inviting trouble.
There's a big divide between a console command that is apparently quite obscure and just using game mechanics to break said game.
1.2.0: Added webshortcuts and admin menu integration Added Squadcontrol Updated NoCommanderExtendsVote Changed spectator disabling to use NCEV's solution
