Yeah, otherwise rails would suck, not to mention rails having such massive recoil wouldn't make sense I think.
I don't know. It's a complex bug to say the least, so it's not surprising that it shows up in weird places.
Speaking of bugs, people reported a bunch of very simple map issues that could be fixed by someone who knows what's up with the compiling process.
I usually just update my thread when I have something more substantial to show, I'm currently working on rigging the NF med with parts of the current rig and digging through .qc files to get a better understanding of how it all works.
He is working through some personal issues hes dealing with, and is currently not doing anything. He is waiting on beerdude before he thinks about features, for now its just bugs.

I'm currently trying to find out how to contribute, having both played Empires and programmed C/C++/C# for 8 years now. The first thing I would like to add is a couple of "quickstart" images to show in the loading screen that explain a few points that I am always explaining to new players.
thats in the making already - beerdude is the dev fighting with implementing a completely new gui (which is supposed to have loading screens again)

Some stuff has come up for him, he will be able to resume soon. I haven't got in touch with beerdude so im not sure whats the progress on Gui. More changes to the script can be found in the update section above. And the various posts on it. Scripts made by community members is still being worked on and tested. Anything I missed feel free to post.
Soft fixes, people didn't care clcearly. Or rather: they weren't bad, so the forum crowd doesn't even mention them.
