Late Oct 2011. Afaik, it's scheduled for release next year, so I cannot complain about DICE doing the Cowdudi one-game-per-year thing yet. Unless they're bringing something new to the table, it'll be a disappointment. I've always wanted the next BF to include more water based combat, maybe bring submarines back. I fear it might be just Battlefield 3 with new graphics and maps. We'll see what happens within a week.
Are they still going to do that thing where it sounds like a guy shitting, the screen flickers and then you see the battlefield screen?
Prolly not gonna buy another battlefield game unless they remake 2142. BF3 was ok but I didnt play it much after the expansion with the indoors fighting in offices and shit came out. shouldn't have bought premium :/
£17 Premium brah. Also, I'm fairly sure EA said it was probably going to be F2P at some point anyway.
Oh it wasnt expensive, 20 bucks or something. It's just that I haven't played since then so I've gained 0 from it.
i think the real question is, "will you be able to drive carriers, battleships, destroyers and subs?" also deif is right 1942 was the bestestest ...
I liked 2142 a lot although some parts of the titan game play had issues. Edit: Also Battlefield 3 Premium is just £22 on origin sales right now. £20 to upgrade to premium and £22 for BF3 + premium
I started battlefield with 2142. Not gonna comment on anything older, I was busy playing CnC, starcraft and some other shit during that time.
I played BF1942 but I never played it online . I just had fun fucking around in single player against the bots.
I did not enjoy 1942 like I did 2142. The rifles sucked you shot once and it would take forever to clock back the weapon, no iron sights, you bounced everywhere from explosions, the fog was ridiculous, the weapon choices on the classes were horrible. I had more fun with Vietnam than 1942.
