Name says it all. Been needed for a while. I'd say if 3/5 people want to kick the squad leader, it should happen.
yes for the squad gui overhaul brutos has shown me some stuff he planned and i also have been busy drawing up sketches for the GUI
Voting is pretty ineffective most of the time, but I agree that there are situations that definatley warrent this
I don't think a change like this is worth developer time adding it to the UI and doing whatever coding they have to do to add it.
How about we toss a function in there to unassign a players squad, and let SM handle it however admins wish? Then it takes almost no dev time and servers can have the functionality.
You keep commenting on stuff but I have to ask, have you actually put any of the ground work in for any of these features? Have you even been reading the code you intend to change? I have to know this stuff, because I'm worried that you're posting everywhere and acting like it's being considered, but are you even doing the research into it and trying out ideas in the codes side?
Nothing involving any "considering" features has been worked on... that's why they are labeled as "considering". I am focused on getting 2.25 out the door, from there features we are considering will be either checked as "time to add" or "adding later/still considering". Labelling them and being active in the suggestions forum are to stay in touch with what the community is wanting, and document what features are being planned.
Depends, you asked multiple questions... have you actually put any of the ground work in for any of these features? No Have you even been reading the code you intend to change? Yes are you even doing the research into it? Yes, when needed/curious and trying out ideas in the codes side? No If I did the things I answered no to, it wouldn't be things we're considering, it'd be things I was doing. If after doing them it was decided to have been a bad idea, then it would be things I wasted my time on. If the idea holds water by the time we're adding new features, it will go in and then actual testing can be done to determine it's worth.
You can scrap code you know. It's probably a good idea to prototype some of these ideas, maybe the simple ones can fit into 2.25, and others may be too complex.
