I reckon BE rifleman uniform at least should look like modernised versions of this: Would be awesome.
I like the update, especially the NF one (still needs some headgear), but I'd be sad to see BE give up the 'fritz' helmet. This last BE would be good as a scout model though (maybe add a camelpack/tactical pack. http://www.platatac.com/www/182/files/welostworld.jpg In blue/gray of course.
isnt that supposed to be the idea? both of the BE are good as they are but for different classes (2nd BE is a scout, 1st is a roflman), but i think the 1st NF is much better than the 2nd. because it can be assumed that BE all have super-kevlar i think the NF should have scrap-metalish armor like the current models or the 1st NF drawing.
is it like this? i really like the northern faction battle dress/trenchcoat has anyone noticed that these all look like officers?
The scout one looks very officer-ish like Sharpe, but really anyone can have buttonz. I don't like how the one NF sleeve rolled up looks so gangster though. Trench coats were given to everyone for warmth in the field though. It doesn't automatically = Robert E. Lee or something.
im no big fan of having colors makeing it easier to distinguish sides. i played urban terror (q3mod) for a while. until their 3.0version came out (i hope this will be no singularity) both sides only had a small arm badge in their teams color and besides that they looked pretty much the same. after 3.0 the models had blue and red clothing and that changed gameplay a lot. before that you could "hide" by psychological effects (like not shooting at ppl) over distance. i have to say i almost never had difficulties to distinguish factions and i still dont like the new look (UrT not empires) i also adapted to the new camo we got, and i like it. its not that hard to tell what side ppl are on. and since FF is off, its no proplem if you fire on teammates. just wanted to say, i like vess drawings, but please leave the OBVIOUS coloring out!
NF looks like he is in PJ's, and his buttons are on the wrong side, mens shirts should open with the right hand.
I want the teams to have a different visual profile. With the scaling of Empires, it's probably easiest to do this in the shape of clothing. In short, NF needs coats.
i concur. plus because engineers are the backbone of any team they should also have a distinguishing profile so you know who to shoot and who can heal you.

there is a difference between flaming and critiquing. a critique is a form of respect, we like what you are doing and it would be even more cool if you did this little change, while a flame is just an insult. i must admit though that i did forget to say thanks for the hard work. thanks for the hard work and i really hope something like this gets implemented but these sketches are not yet perfect.
The NF scout looks a bit too posh to be crawling through the mud. Think kneepads and survival gear. I like the brenodi beret styled one though. Looks liek a functional and capable guy. Could you think up something as headwear for the NF? Something like a soviet infantry cap or a boonie hat. As far as colors go, you seem to be drawing both sides towards gray more while only coloring the extremities which wasn't supposed to be your original point.
I thank you for the interest. These are very rough. The gren is the most difficult however. So when I figure out his designe I will ask you to Choose 1 charicter to draw with my full effort. So get ready to choose favorites.
