As some said it bevor, autobalance only in the beginning of the match. Playing 30 minutes and than autoswitching is not very funny.
Probably still the default VALVe one. Frog has got something more complex on the go (hence the pause before joining a team) however it doesn't actually do anything at this point!
As said before I agree with the switching people mid-game thing it's painful and I don't think it should be done. What I think should be implemented is just a block to stop people joining a stacked team. Example: NF has 5 players BE has 8 players No-one should be able to join BE until the difference between teams is "X" << variable At current people can just continue stacking, there's no need to implement a system which switches players just block them from joining a stacked team.
The server plugin auto assigns you. I'm working on adding a "random" element to stop people jumping into slots & stacking up.... or maybe something else... dont know, its not finished yet what ever stops clans stacking up to kill pubs...
heh I was thinking of a plugin which searched for common strings in the player names and then randomly dispersed them across teams that would be awesome, however that's not what i had in mind for the Auto-Team Balancer as I don't think Krenzo would implement that
One time I was playing on the cw noob server and someone stacked my team then it switched me over to the team I helped make suck.. And the auto balance feature goes by tickets which doesnt always work seein as the stacked team usally has less tickets because they have more people.. So keep these things in mind if your gonna make somthing like this
I think that it's not number of players that's important, it's res nodes held. if one team has >3 nodes more than another team then the lesser team should definately be allowed to have an extra player... but not the other way around.
That rarely happens and unless Krenzo actually codes a custom one that is able to check for things like resource nodes that's be near impossible. Usually if a team has more players they are winning, they have more people able to disperse across the map and cover more area.
i guessed that there already was a counter because of the resource counter top right on the HUD. if teams are even, players can join the team that is thrashing the other team and that is bad. even if one team has less than the other team, players can join the lesser team and then choose again, and it counts the playercount including the player himself so it thinks teams are even, letting him join the winning team. that is bad.
