http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUZSgQlotPw Instead of explaining shit, I want people to look at this vid. It got the outmost perfect vehicle control a game can ever have. I want this. Edit: only in first person view.
tl:dr Video was boring...also, it looks like the turret moves around just like they do in Empires, except the viewpoint was further away. But I don't really know because as I said, video was boring. My bad.
Video was boring, yes, but it had clips of the vehicle control I was nagging about. And no, it isn't like empires controls. ...why do i bother, there are obviously no gamers here. Must be blind not to see the difference between native primitive empires-style control versus simple awesome renegade-style controls. One point: Ground is bumpy, aming while driving is not. Blind clowns!
whats so hard about vehicle controls Point your gun with the mouse, move with wasd. If you want to do drifts and tricks, use space.
if we make it any easier to handle tanks, guess where infantry will be compared to now? I say difficulty in driving tanks makes it a developable skill for players to work towards as a goal, and it also provides infantry with feasible opportunities to strike stationary vehicles who stop to improve aim. I say difficult vehicle handling is not a "problem" in empires, but a game mechanic. EDIT: Comments such as "...why do i bother, there are obviously no gamers here." and "Blind clowns!" are not constructive in any way, shape or form. your post would be more concise, agreeable, and far more pleasant to read if it did not insult the community. In the interest of the community, and also in your own interest, I request that you refrain from including hostile or otherwise degrading comments in your posts in the future.
Yeah i'm not really a gamer, i'm an actor darling! My love is the theatre, now you just stand there and sit pretty lovely boy. Oh right, I see...you mean the thing there are already 2 other threads about? The one started by Chris and another one recently which was referred back to Chris's thread? My bad man...I didn't think you'd post the same thing for a third time...I think it was under...decouple turret pitch from chassis or something like that. But...anyway, the show must go on!!
