the maps with the flags are really fun, only the spaunkilling arty's are really anoying as example :the urban map with the big concrete wall to blast a hole in at the near end, the last spaun is really easy to hit with arty's maybe make a roof over each spaun so the arty's cant spaunkill the northen or maybe ban the arty's off this kind of gameplay map they unbalance in favor of the imp REALLY bad
Or maybe put up a huge wall so they can't fire over instead? That way, not only can they not spawnkill, they cannot hit the area near spawn unless they take the time to drive into a semi-vulnerable spot and fire.
THen there'd be no practical use for artillery. A roof should suffice and probably less of a system hog.
i see, ok then i am happy i find all vehicles eccept the apv uninteresting (or unfair: arti) on those maps (apv spauns ppl so its very good for pushing)
it will block bullets, so if anyone woud want to shoot the sky the coud not hurt it but an artillery shell is a prop so woud go right troug and depending on how they made it the shell woud stay behind and the bullet (the damage) woud die or the whole thing will ignore the brush
I'm not too sure about roofs on escort. It's pretty good right now. But my first impression of district is this: IT'S TOO FREAKING LINEAR. There is one path that all units take, with almost no exceptions. Look at all those freaking ladders! Make 'em climbable to the rooftops! Hell, make the sewers accesable. Make SOMETHIGN change so the gameplay doesnt devolve into a shootout in a long, difficult to see through corridor. But rooftops would be an EXCELLENT way to start things off in District.
