Yeah. Why the hell is it called a radar, anyway? It's confusing for the new players, and it can be mixed up with the engineer radar.
It's a good idea, but is the work worth the result? Idk if this is that much of an issue with the newbs. edit: Oh man, I so want the research stations to have computer consoles. Pope's on it.
how about we rename the mini radars too.. Tank trackers.. or somthing like that or how about we dont change anything cause the noobs should read shit
changing it back to "arms lab" would be better than "research centre" there could be obs buildings for looking for enemies and getting motion tracking / scans etc. on a more sensible note, it'd be handy if the radar had a larger area and or a circle on the minimap to make it more obvious/useful.
why the hell would you call it "research centre" when no research occours in it? all it does it use it's massive radar to download information to enable your team to use the advanced tech. It's obvious and logical. renaming engy radars to detectors or something is an idea... we should get around to renaming the guns too some time.
Come on guys, the radar is a pretty retarded name. An example. if you will: "Sir! we're picking up upgraded turrets level 3 on the radar!" or "We've got incoming advanced coolant on the radar! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!! AGAIHRAEHMNTAMNTRSPNYRSN *Ksssssssah*"
huh what, where, who ? didnt get the meaning of that.... But it IS a radar.... right? it works, but how far is the range of it? like half the size of a regular base or something like that ?
I was trying to say that getting research or any sort of technology with a radar is a silly proposition. Radar dun wurk dat way.
T'isn't it in the manual somewhere that the radar is used to download the specifications for the buildings as it's too difficult to carry them around...or summat like that? In a case like that might it be better not to rename it to something like "Uplink Tower"....or summat... ...summat...
