What the title says. Anyone unable to login to steam needs to do this. The steam content delivery server seems to have been taken down a little earlier than it was supposed to. So you need to remove, delete or rename the steam.cfg so that you can login to steam again.
Ah... No wonder I couldn't connect to Steam. Oh, btw, since my last post was ignored / not clear answer, do I have to re-download the Empires.gcf or can I just update it when Empires reaches Steam?
When steam version is released, then you won't need a steam.cfg or anything. Whether or not you'll have to redownload the entire steam version, I have no idea.
I couldn't log in, sadly I didn't see this before. I can login now though, and I didn't remove the config.
Yeah, we put the steamserver back up with nothing in it. Your test version won't work, but you can login. Either way, delete the files, because this tester version will go down at some point.
This caused me at least 3 minutes of despair. I'm thinking of instructing a personal injury lawyer....
We restarted the content server so it didn't lock people out from steam and gave us time to pass round the message. But when we turn it off (And we certainly aren't keeping it up permanently), this problem will occur.
I pressed E inside the aircraft, and suddenly my camera switched to this: I don't know what it is supposed to be, but it was floating and the legs/arms were moving...
What happens on harryhoot's weirdass maps is nothing to do with us. Also, that looks like the hl2 dropship.
