I've had that happen to me many times, I drive jeeps alot, it's not rare. but strangely I've never been RPG'd from inside a jeep. maybe hit-detection is disabled inside and mortar just kills through splash damage. IDK
Both pistols are the same and every class can use the pistol 1. What I like is that its a run and gun weapon like in 2.0.
shot pistol reloads too slow, that's a reason why it sucks, the player should hold both shells and put them in at the same time, but oh no now we need animations and shit. plz allow players to shoot the shot pistol when the guy puts the first one in, before the second one, so it's like a quick reload.
Id buff nfhr, just a little, apart from that, everything is nice. Ofc im not talking about the research balance but that takes time. Btw I like how the heavies behave against each other. BE heavy even with rails isnt OP anymore.
the only reason the scout rifle is a problem NOW, is because it's actually beeing used... 'twas perfectly ballanced back in the day when no1 touched it.....
It's kinda sucky being far from cover and getting shot by the Scout rifle. The first one says "you're totally dead now" you have that awkward pause as you're sprinting to think "oh damnit" and then you're dead. Usually, you can't figure out where the shot came from and your weapons aren't accurate enough to fire back.
thus we had a long discussion about removing the scunt rifle in 2.12 - then after all weapons turned into bbguns it was less of an issue and the only ones arguing for it where those guys that seen the other negative aspects of noobs resting on their bellies under a tree for hours. i see absolutely no need for a sniper weapon in each and every FPS game, empires could do very well without it and it would also make the scunt class a quite unique infiltrator/skirmisher. which it actually is, but thats hidden by the fact that it has a scoped rifle ...
fucking apc rushing,,, it is so deadly in pub games, if you can organize one with the nubs you automaticly win,,, When your the team that gets the apc rush on your main base and you yell for killspawn your team wont killspawn and your going to have a dead cv in your mainbase and half your team hanging arround everywhere else but your mainbase...
These dudes play css ... Plus its not 1 apc, mostly its bout 3-5 apc's your going to have a little profit when they still on distance, but when they arrive your so fucked.
A strategy (or some people here would say tactic) I like to employ is pre-emptively mining your base and key points. Nothing is quite as satisfying as pre-mining your rax on NF and later getting some free kills. No one expects mines there, and the enemies drive up their vehicles, get them pwned then bail out into the rax to cause damage and boom! Dead. No worries, and you've just defended your base.
