I've had these ideas on my mind for about a week now, so I'm just going throw the ideas out there. (Yes, I do realize that they would be hard to code) Commander Entry Point allow someone to enter the comand screen without a CV might benafit certain maps Build Points similar to resource points, but ment for use by other buildings Restricted Build Points similar to Build points, but can only be facing a certain direction (think back to my dock suggestion) Commander Building Map Objects Mappers can give team commanders the ablity to drop buildings defind by the mapper and can be difind with Build Points and/or Restricted Build Points examples; say the mapper wants to allow commanders on both teams to build infantry climbable towers, large gun turrets that are only build-able in certain locations, or bridges that need to be facing certain ways.
If by 'another way' you mean complex ugly workarounds that hardly ever work as intended and reflect on the sheer lack of professionalism that this mod seems to project, then sure.
What I mostly wanted to point out is: If you WANT to do it, you can do it, but I doubt those people suggesting it, would actually be the ones who used it and instead hopes that a mapper would make their dreammap for them.
