Apparently, the game became free on Origin so I'm thinking we could have some games in it sometimes if you guys are up for it.
A while back I tried that with my old copy of BF 1942 and Empires did have a fugly huge menu that would't ever close unless I turned the whole GUI off. far distant LOD images have been resized and fucked in quality ove:
I always knew that the source Empires had the low res models because the modeller with the high res one disappeared before they put them in, but I never knew they carried over from the BF empires. Gawd are they ugly.
I can't see anything, and my Origin just updated. EDIT: Go on this webpage http://www.videogamer.com/pc/battle...ield_1942_available_for_free_on_origin_2.html and click the "Origin" hyperlink". Unfortunately, the download speed is shit, as expected.
I got it. Finally my fibre optic decided to kick in and a swift download in just 2 minutes. Would like to play some games in the near future.

Assuming that the Origin version still works just like the old Battlefield: Navigate to your profile-folder and edit video.con and videoCustom.con. GFX may still look bad when you are using anything other than a good old CRT monitor
Fooshi, it's your responsibility to remind me to download this tonight. As for server, I don't think we'd have enough players to have a game.
