I have to agree...the extra green box seems extraneous...at the very least, remove the hard edges and fade out slowly.

I like the new suggested crosshair you made, the word good inside should be removed, I don't think that is always going to be the good angle to aim at.

i was trying to see if the grenadier's crosshair was in the materials folder and try to replace it, couldn't find it though.

If anybody knows if it is possible to simply replace it with an addative texture, I made one of my own:

It's coded. Drawing lines on the hud saves video memory.

if the only thing it has going for it is saving memory, is there a possibility to combine coded lines and textures? That way we could have fancy crosshairs with its dynamics done with coded lines?

Sandbag's suggestion is my favourite, but I think the word "good" should only flash on the screen just after you score a kill.

if it's just coded lines, then it's probably quite hard to remove the whole green background to trim it to the center bit....

Only thing which I would like to be change in the mortar aiming aid is that it lacks real crosshair.

Why you really need it? You ask. Well. It is much easier to spot enemy vehicles when you know where to aim your mortar view so you can say "enemy vehicle spotted."

Now you ask "why you just don't switch weapon?"
If you don't have time for that. I don't ask much.

I really wouldn't require much. Just a tiny crosshair there. I used your picture, Private Sandbag, to make my point clear.

There it is. Is that really so bad idea after all?

Edit: Crap imagesocket makes it almost invisible now... :P Let me fix it.

    ???
    Fixed

acutally if you just figure out what line on the motar crosshair is the middle one all you have to is line that up..

you could put a little vertical line through that line so it is obvious from the start... :)
