Sound distortion, crackling and other weirdness

    "sound.cache" file...

    Man, I didn't know you could cache things in just one file, I am used to a "cache folder".

    Btw, that fixed it. Maybe Fooshi should try that too.

    I swear I tried deleting the cache file before. Maybe I didn't go through with it.

    I haven't "properly" stress tested the sound yet, but it appears it's fixed. I'll have to play some Slaughtered with 50 players later to confirm.

    only the sound.cache or can we delete map specific sound caches too?

    what happens when I delete a cache from a custom map? Is it recreated when the map starts or will it buttfuck?

    You can delete any cache file you want; they'll be recreated on map/server/sound/etc. load.

    just joined escort, this feels like a whole new game.
    Seriously, maybe my perception fucks with me, but all sounds feel enriched. like the difference in mp3s from 64kb/s to 320kb/s
