i dont disagree on sticking something you can only throw so far to people, just wanted to throw some facts in :D
Nf tanks look more like ww1+ rather than ww2 imo. That is, unless you count american abberations. Lee/Grant, I am looking at you.
the coolest thing would be if when the magnetic stickies made contact with a vehicle, an audible CLANK sound would be made
Fucking THIS ^ Then you KNOW somone threw a sticky on you instead of ditching a vehicle when it was just a conc or some other BS.
It really sounds more like someone is very salty about bailing and getting killed because of a seismic thrown at his tank. You can tell if someone is doing the legit thing anyway. I dont see a point in penalising a creative inf guy, when its your sorry ass who should pay more attention.
Please keep that discussion out of the modeling thread. If you want to discuss sound effect additions, do so in the suggestions forum. Also: Could you post some progress pics on the stickies? Other modelers might be able to give some tips.
A lot of armour is still just a steel plate. That's what both I and my security guards wear. Kevlar is still gucci shit.
Arent you a construction related person? Im pretty sure that "armor" you speak of is more to stop any accidental damage, a la steel tipped shoes, rather than stopping bullets.
The ones we have are like 1cm at the front and back, and they're pretty heavy. To be honest, I don't think it'd save me should shit hit the fan, but there's always a chance it could help. I mean, the chances of me ever needing it are close to zero anyway, so I don't really give it much though.
